Here you may read the rules in order to avoid getting banned for being stupid. The hard-working staff of 'Firefox Discussion Forum' do not ask a whole lot out of you guys, the members. The least you can do is read over the short topics of rules that you may encounter within this forum - so please consult them before even entering the chatbox, making your character, or PMing someone.
If you have any ideas to make this site better please post them here. Your input will be greatly appreciated, so long as it is entirely constructive. On another note: please do not post up a suggestion based on only your opinion, and quite possibly no one else's. We'd like for suggestions to benefit the entire RP community, not just a select few members. And nothing that could be seen as even mildly offensive towards any staff, member, or group, please. If you are new to the Open Discussion Community of Firefox Discussion Forum, post your greeting or introduction in this forum! Try to put as much information about yourself as possible, this is so that people may get to know you more easily. Although you are not completely required to post up your greeting to the fellow members, it is certainly well recommended.
For whom it may concern and for whatever reason(s), you will probably leave the RPG site for a little bit or forever; if forever is the case, you will be greatly missed by all. It is actually required to post up an away topic if you plan on leaving, so that we will know how long to wait for your return. Those facing unexpected problems, such that were unforeseen, will be excused from being required to post an away topic - but you will need a very good reason.
So you are looking to create your very own character, so that even you may join in on the vast and grand adventures concerning the members of the Avatar RPG? Well, this is certainly the place to start off at! By filling out the various required fields found in the character template and awaiting the approval of an administrator or a global moderator, you will be able to create your very own character, whether it be a bender or a normal person! Sound fun already? Then get to moving, ya don't have all day!
It is very apparent that every great adventurer needs his loyal animal companion! So why not create your very own? In this forum, you will find the template filled with various required fields for you to fill out concerning your character's new pet, once complete you can post up your topic and await an administrator or a global moderator to see it and approve it. Once approved, your character will be fighting side-by-side with his new pal in no time!
Every great warrior needs his personal arsenal of weapons and items! Whether the objects you're apply for be to strike your opponent with powerful force or defend yourself against even the strongest of attacks, this is the place to apply for anything that is vital to your character's person. But, of course, not only weapons can be applied for in the Avatar RPG- other items are indeed just as necessary. A special necklace? A sturdy and super-handy lock-pick? Both are definantly something you may need to apply for!
This is the key place to find all basic battle and non-battle techniques that your character may automatically utilize, but anything other than the basics must be made and applied for; otherwise, you may utilize them. It is actually rather simple to create a technique! Just highlight the technique template, create a new topic, paste the template, fill it out, and post it up! Once posted, all you have to do is wait for our hard-working staff to approve it!
There is a wide range of abilities such as: elements and specialties. These are a major part of the Avatar World, being the primary thing that your character's techniques and abilities are based one. This is the once and only place for you to register new elements or specialties for your character; fighter or bender, this section is for everyone!
The Elemental Nation has a new leader and is building up it's power tremendously, they are the main shipping and supplier of the world's resources and other products, making them a bad opponent for war. The Elemental Nation consists of a vast amount of different types of benders, each working in harmony with each other to make a place in the world for the growing power of the Elemental Nation. The leader of Elemental Nation is none-other than the Avatar himself, but the nation is the main target of a large multitude of attacks from bordering countries, not making it a very safe place for non-benders.
The Fire Nation is one of the world's four nations. It is an absolute monarchy led by the Fire Lord. Geographically, the continent is located on the planet's equator in the western hemisphere, and is composed of several islands, and therefore is an archipelago. Its capital is at the Fire Nation Capital. The Fire Nation is home to almost all Firebenders. The Fire Nation is the second largest nation in the world in terms of population and area. It is second in both of these respects to the Earth Kingdom. The Fire Nation economy is the most powerful in the world, with a strong industrial sector and extensive technological developments.
The Earth Kingdom is one of the world's four major nations. It is a confederate monarchy led by the Earth King. A massive continent taking up most of the planet's eastern hemisphere, the Earth Kingdom is roughly analogous to Eurasia in our world. The Earth Kingdom is home to most of the world's Earthbenders. The capital of the Earth Kingdom is Ba Sing Se. The Earth Kingdom is the largest country in the world in both population figures and land area. Thus, it is an ethnically diverse country, with wide variance in customs between different provinces and tribes. It also has a large economy based on agriculture and limited industry
The Water Tribe is a collective term for a nation of people who practice Waterbending. One of the series' "Four Nations," the Water Tribe is divided into two nation-states: the Southern Water Tribe, which inhabits the South Pole, and the Northern Water Tribe, which inhabits the North Pole. There is also a small population of Waterbenders located in the swamps of the Earth Kingdom. The Water Tribe is far less powerful than either the Earth Kingdom or the Fire Nation. Its economy is very small and is dependent on ocean resources. This is because of the relatively small population of the Water Tribes as the third most populous nation.
The Air Nomads is a collective term for a nation of people who practice the discipline of Airbending. One of the series' "Four Nations", the Air Nomads were wanderers by definition, but had four Air Temples, one at each corner of the globe, hidden away atop mountain ranges in the northern Earth Kingdom and on three remote islands. The Air Nomads were home to a monastic order of men and women who practiced Airbending, the mystical art of aerokinesis. Unlike the other Nations, the people of the Air Nomads were, without any seen exception, all benders due to the high level of spirituality of their people. The Air Nomads were the smallest of the four nations. Its economy, if existent, was entirely based on limited agriculture. The population of the Air Nomads was small compared to even the Water Tribe, and was far smaller than either of the two powers, the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom.
The Dark Nation is slowly trying to find a way of producing their own resources so that they may start a war on the Elemental Nation, without fear of losing valuable resources themselves. The nation itself is over-bearingly violent, and currently the target of multiple attacks from surrounding nations, whom have taken it upon themselves to loot them of their remaining resources; the small nation being at it's lowest point of strength.
Light Kingdom is at complete peace with nearly all nations. Light Kingdom also suggests attacking the water tribes for easy territory, but because of fear of the Elemental Nation getting involved choose not to do so.
Shangon Island is a near uninhabited island far off the coast of an outer-lying Fire Nation island. The nation is primarily inhabited by large religious tribes of mind benders, as well as the peaceful nature benders who travel by themselves throughout the extensively vast growths of forests. Not a few hundred years ago, Avatar Pendo, the first avatar, managed to split the island into two - in order to stop an oncoming war. The east side is slightly more inhabited, and is the location of Shangon City, a primary exporter of goods. The west side, however, remains completely covered in forests.
The Underworld has only one physical world entrance, although there are two ways of entering. The first is by locating it's hidden entrance on an outer-lying island not far from West Shangon Island. The inhabitants of the Underworld range from it's human royalty and leaders to the millions of spirits that inhabitant it. The only other way to enter the Underworld, other than through the physical entrance, is by death; but your soul is eternally sealed away into nothingness, unless you died as a hero - in which you will become a spirit within the Underworld.
